Kersten Marisa Anne Radke, M.A.
Welcome
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I bring over thousands of hours of direct clinical experience, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances, addressing a wide range of psychological, emotional, and existential concerns. My practice is grounded in rigorous clinical training while remaining responsive to the complexity of the human experience.
My work is informed by a lifelong commitment to the study of psychology, contemplative traditions, and human development. I am particularly drawn to the intersections of mental health, mindfulness, emotional regulation, meaning-making, optimal performance, and self-actualization. These interests are not adjunct to my clinical work, they shape the depth, precision, and integrity with which I practice.
I work best with clients who are seeking more than symptom management alone. My approach is designed for those who value insight, self-responsibility, and sustained inner change, individuals who wish to understand themselves at a deeper level and engage in therapy as a serious, transformative process.
I find deep fulfillment in this work and consider it a privilege to accompany clients through periods of challenge, transition, and growth. Therapy, when done well, is not superficial, it is careful, attuned, and profoundly human. That is the standard to which I hold my practice.
Psychotherapy is a structured, collaborative process that helps you:
Understand and regulate emotions
Clarify values and goals
Strengthen coping capacities
Navigate life transitions
Build resilience for meaningful living
We begin with an intake and assessment to understand your needs and collaboratively develop a treatment focus. Progress is reviewed regularly so that therapy evolves with your goals.
This approach grounds your inner experience in practical skills and insights, supporting stability and forward movement rather than transient relief alone.
Who I Work With
I work with adults from a wide range of backgrounds, life experiences, and professional roles. My practice is grounded in respect for individual differences, and I strive to create a therapeutic environment that is inclusive, culturally responsive, and clinically sound.
I have experience supporting individuals across diverse age groups, cultural identities, and socio-economic contexts. My work also includes supporting individuals whose personal or professional lives place a high value on discretion and privacy. Across all client relationships, I prioritize confidentiality, professional boundaries, and ethical care.
Sessions are offered in a private, discreet home-office setting with parking, designed to provide a calm and contained space away from public visibility. Secure virtual sessions are also available.
Areas of Focus
While each client’s work is individualized, I commonly support adults who are:
Exploring identity, self-understanding, and long-standing patterns of thought or emotion
Seeking to develop greater emotional regulation and psychological flexibility
Integrating cognitive, emotional, and reflective practices in a grounded and balanced way
Navigating life transitions, role changes, responsibility, or loss
Looking for a steady therapeutic relationship to support long-term growth and stability
My approach is evidence-informed and integrative, drawing on cognitive-behavioural, mindfulness-based, relational, and compassion-focused frameworks.
Commitment to Professional Care
I am committed to providing therapy that is ethical, confidential, and collaborative. All services are delivered in accordance with professional standards, with clear communication around scope, consent, and boundaries.
My goal is to offer a respectful, non-judgmental space where clients can engage thoughtfully in the therapeutic process, develop insight, and build skills that support emotional well-being over time.
Education
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from University of Western Ontario, and a Masters of Theology: Spiritual Care & Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. I am also a registered psychotherapist in good standing in Ontario with CRPO, and a registered counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I participate in ongoing professional development, such as in person workshops, conducting research, reading peer-reviewed journals, consultation with professors and supervisors, and dedicate myself to my own personal growth and awareness.
